Developing a culture that encourages staff to continue to strive for excellence is at the core of our values as an organisation. Reflective practice is a critical element of delivering excellent care and allows staff to better attune to the subjective experience of the young people that they are supporting. Regular team meetings, professional supervision, yearly appraisal and where appropriate debriefs create a supportive and nurturing environment for our staff.
Staff of Surety Care work towards providing a service in which people are encouraged to develop through the mediums of opportunity and support. All staff complete a comprehensive induction when joining and have to complete a probationary period that is monitored by the Registered Manager through the supervision and mentoring process.
Training
Where assessment prior to admission highlights the need for specific training we will ensure that our staff receive the appropriate training.
Supporting staff
As an organisation we encourage everyone to rethink the way they manage conflict and crisis intervention. We understand the importance of supporting our staff to contribute to healthy
environments and cultures that prioritise safety and wellbeing through every part of our organisation. We know that past adversity can continue to have an impact throughout life and that this trauma not only has an impact on the people who have experienced it, but also on the staff who work with them and on organisations as a whole.
