This will be led by Social Workers who will detail current arrangements and any limitations on contact for each young person in line with current Risk Assessments and / or Safeguarding concerns.
Yes, this will usually be completed within the first 7 to 14 days of a placement and will be evidenced within the placement plan. Any more immediate care can be facilitated at Walk In Centre, Emergency Dentist and Pharmacies as required until registration is complete with new providers. Any required specialist care will either be transferred to local provisions or transport will be facilitated to attend future appointments as required.
Dietary needs will all be catered for and this is something that will be discussed during the young persons transition to Surety Care. All staff will be made aware of dietary requirement and will develop menu options, shop accordingly.
Bullying will always be addressed and challenged within the home. It is not acceptable and will not be tolerated. Bullying Policy attached for your information.
Yes, diversity is something that will be both recognised and celebrated within the home.
Young persons rooms will be secured and on arrival a key will be provided so their personal space is safe. Staff retain the ability to access each room in the event of emergencies. The homes have CCTV but this is purely for the security of the premises and the safety of residents. It will never be used to monitor young people, nor will it be used as an alternative to suitable supervision levels by qualified staff.
