Ron Tulloch is a Consultant Clinical and Forensic (dual chartered) Psychologist with forty years of experience in the NHS, Private Healthcare and Charity sectors. He has sat on numerous Executive and Management Boards in a Clinical Director role with responsibility for designing, developing, improving and managing clinical services. These have included hospital units, residential and supported living services and community clinical teams. In his Consultancy work he has provided clinical review and ‘turnaround’ input to distressed services and providers, clinical and commercial due diligence, service tender/bidding support as well as planning and implementation support within Private Healthcare, NHS, Charities and the Armed Forces.

He has experience with a variety of clinical presentations, including: Mentally Disordered Offenders, Mental Illness (Enduring and Acute), Intellectual Disability, Personality Disorder, Autism Spectrum Conditions, Elderly and Women’s Services. As well as designing and implementing innovative clinical programmes this has typically involved recruiting, training and managing substantial multidisciplinary workforces (for example, psychiatry, psychology, nursing, occupational therapy, social work and education).

Ron has held substantive and honorary positions at a number of UK Universities (York, Leeds, Liverpool and Manchester) including Senior Fellow in Forensic Psychology and Senior Associate Lecturer in Clinical Psychology in which he has developed diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate training courses. He has published book chapters and papers in academic journals and has also given invited addresses at numerous international and UK conferences. He was on the Editorial Board of the British Journal of Clinical Psychology from 1987 – 1992.

Ron is an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health & Care Professions Council to practice in Clinical and Forensic Psychology. He is grounded in the Scientist-Practitioner model and operates as a clinical-scientist with clinical interests in cognitive and interpersonal models of treatment, and psychosocial rehabilitation. He is committed to the provision of socially responsive care to service users who present with complex clinical problems often resulting in extreme marginalisation and social exclusion.
